I waffled about whether to post this today, which is what we might with great understatement call a fraught day for many of us. Is it unreasonable, even insensitive or egotistical, to imagine that my goofy book could be a useful distraction or bring a little joy to folks who are stressed out over the election?
I hope not. Whatever happens today—and I really, really want it to be good!—I think we’ll always need a little adventure and weirdness in our lives, even if it’s only fictional.
